SUPERVISING REGISTERED NURSE
The supervisor assesses your needs,
progress and develops your plan of care with you and your physician. The supervisor instructs and monitors all home
care at no additional cost to you.
Registered nurses or Licensed Practical nurses provide skilled nursing care, such as administration of medications
or specialized treatments in your home.
HOME HEALTH AIDES
Certified home health aides, trained according to New York State Department
of Health requirements, help you at home when you are ill and have health related needs. They assist you with your bathing
and grooming, accompany you to the doctor's office, prepare meals and carry out other supportive services.
Personal care aides are trained to help you remain comfortably and safely in your own home
as independently as possible by providing assistance with: personal care, meals, errands, laundry, housekeeping and companionship.
Depending upon your needs, a home health aide or a personal care aide stays with you twenty-four
hours a day. The aide helps manage your household, meet your personal care needs, shop and prepare meals, do laundry,
and provide ongoing companionship.
